This Tenancy Agreement and the Residences Regulations and Information Booklet constitutes written notice of what the University will provide and the terms on which it will be provided.

If the University or it's agent has not had face-to-face contact with you before this Tenancy Agreement is formed you have 7 working days from the date you return this Tenancy Agreement to cancel your acceptance by giving written notice (writing includes faxes and e-mails) to the University of your cancellation. Cancellations once notified cannot be revoked. Your right to cancel does not apply once the University has started to provide the accommodation to you.

This Tenancy Agreement becomes binding when you accept this agreement, pay the deposit, and the Tenancy Agreement has been countersigned and dated by the University or the University has started to provide the accommodation to you. This creates an agreement for lease i.e. a legally binding promise that the University will grant and you will take the tenancy on the first day of the tenancy period. The latest you may withdraw from this Tenancy Agreement without penalty is 7 days before the start of the Tenancy Period. If you cancel after that, the University will not return your deposit. If the deposit is not sufficient to cover the costs reasonably incurred and/or losses suffered by the University as a result of your withdrawal, you will be liable to compensate the University for those additional costs and/or losses. This condition does not affect your right to cancel under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations or where the University has failed in a serious way to comply with its obligations in this Tenancy Agreement.
