| Freshers 2012/13 - Offer process |
You should expect to receive your allocation email after you have fully meet the conditions of your offer. Students waiting for A-level results will receive the email between mid-August and the beginning of September. If you already hold an Unconditional Firm place at the University you will receive your email during June/July. If you have provided the Accommodation Office with an email address you will receive an email with details of how to accept your allocation online. You will need to check your messages on a regular basis. To secure your room offer you will be asked to accept the Tenancy Agreement online and pay a £350 deposit. To ensure that we contact all the students quickly you will be asked to pay and accept within a 2/3 day window so if you are away over the summer and have no access to email please ensure you leave someone responsible to check your email account for you. Please ensure that you check both your inbox and junk mail folder regularly during the allocation period from June to September. If you are under 18 when joining the University you will be asked to provide details of your guarantor. A letter/email will be sent to your nominated guarantor to complete. They will also be required to accept your Tenancy Agreement on your behalf. For full details please read Under 18's Policy for Resident Students. Offers of accommodation formal or otherwise are provisional and subject to the clearance of all money owing to the University up to and including the end of the Summer Vacation 2012. PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT GUARANTEE to allocate your preferred accommodation as it is subject to demand. However, you will be offered an alternative. Full details of your accommodation will be sent to you with your Tenancy Agreement in August/September.
