The Licence Agreement commits a Resident to take the accommodation for the full
letting period, and if a Resident leaves the accommodation before the end of
the Licence period or returns their key they will remain liable for the
accommodation fees until the end of the Licence period. However, and only when
it is agreed prior to vacating by the Accommodation Office to ending the
contract early, Residents, without exception, will be charged a flat fee of £350
(£400 for studio flats) for the early termination of the Licence
Agreement and will also be liable for the accommodation fees at the appropriate
nightly rate.
If a Resident wishes to terminate their contract after 10am 24 February 2014
(for Undergraduate, Language and PGCert length contracts) and after
10am 1 July 2014 for (Postgraduate/Research length contracts) the student
will instead be charged the full rent until the end of the Licence Period. This
amount will be charged to the Resident's University account and will be payable
within 7 days of demand.
For further details please refer to the Residences Rules and Regulations Booklet.
Please note: Students attending Bolashak courses should refer to their Licence Agreement for information regarding charges for terminating their Licence Agreement/vacating their room before the end of the contract.
