Late Arrival Request Terms and Conditions

If you are unable to arrive on your Licence Agreement start date you are required to inform Accommodation Services of your delayed arrival date. You are eligible to request a late arrival once you have accepted your Licence Agreement and paid the relevant deposit/booking fee. If you have not completed either both or one of these your late arrival cannot be agreed.

Please see section 15 of the Residences Rules and Regulations for further information.

There is a limit to the period of time a room can be held for late arrival as demand for rooms is high. A room that remains unoccupied 7 days from the start of the Licence period (including early arrival) will be reallocated to a waiting student and the deposit will be retained by the University, unless the student has had permission from Accommodation Services to extend their late arrival.

If you are planning to arrive more than 7 days from the start of your Licence Agreement, you will be required to make a prepayment of rent (approx. 6 weeks) to hold your room during your delayed arrival. Once this late arrival payment is made if you later decide to cancel your room or you do not arrive on the agreed date your room allocation would be cancelled and you would be charged for every night the room is held for you from the start of your contract plus £350 (£400 for studio flats) for breaking your contract.
