Dear Student to Change
Option 1If you choose to remain on campus during the interim period (from 4 to 17 September 2016 incl.) and have been allocated a different room for the summer and term time: You must be available to make the move to your new room between 4 September 2016 to 17 September 2016. Please note that you must be available at any time during this period until the room move is complete. Your new Residence Manager will inform your current Residence Team when your new room is ready. Your current Residence Manager will inform you (by knocking on your door, leave a note under your door or by email) when your new room is ready; unfortunately you are not able to choose the room move date yourself. You will be asked to transfer your belongings as soon as possible to your new room and the keys for your previous room will have to be returned immediately, as agreed by your Residence Manager. Please ensure you have packed all your belongings early in readiness for the move. Charges will apply for extra nights at the nightly rate for 2015/16. A separate invoice will be produced for this charge and will be due for payment in October with your first instalment of rent. The charge for this interim period (from 4 to 17 September 2016 incl.) will not be included in the student’s new Licence Agreement for 2016/17. Please note: If you choose to stay during interim period then whilst we facilitate your stay, the shared areas of the flat (e.g. kitchens and bathrooms) may require cleaning and therefore you may experience some inconvenience and disruption during this time. Option 2If you would like to move out from campus accommodation or are not available to move to your new room during the interim week (from 4 to 17 September 2016 incl.) then you will have to remove all your belongings and return your keys to your Residences Office by 10am the morning of the Licence Agreement end date, 4 September 2016. The keys should be returned to your relevant Residence Office, please see the table below.
Keys should not be left in your room, at the Security Office or with a friend to return to the Residences Office. Outside normal office hours, keys should be posted through the Reception letterbox in an envelope collected in advance from the Residences Office, clearly marked with your name, student number and room/flat/hall details. | Useful Information Links Question and Answer Centre Residences Rules and Regulations2016/17 Academic Session2015/16 Academic Session Have you lost your room key?If you have lost your room key, please contact your Residence Manager immediately for advice. |
