| Late Arrival Request Terms and Conditions 2025/26 |
If you are unable to arrive on your Licence Agreement start date you are required to inform the Allocations Team of your delayed arrival date. You are eligible to request a late arrival once you have accepted your Licence Agreement and paid the relevant advance payment. If you have not completed either both or one of these your late arrival cannot be agreed. Accommodation fees will be charged from the first day of the Licence Period stated in the Licence Agreement, not from the date of arrival. If a student has not arrived on the later date notified to the Allocations Team, the University may re-allocate the room. The University will try to contact students before a room is re-allocated, but if it has not been possible to make contact, the University will offer the room to another student. Your advance payment of £350 (single room) or £450 (studio/flats) payment will in either case be retained by the University to cover Replacement Costs. This also applies to Residents who are unable to take up their Accommodation because of a rejected or pending visa application. If an exception is agreed for a student to arrive more than 7 days after the start of the Licence Period, the student must make part payment of their first accommodation fee in advance of their arrival. If the Resident subsequently cancels their room or fails to arrive on the agreed extended date regulation 7 will apply.
