Vacating Term time Campus Accommodation 2015/16
Vacating your roomWe have received confirmation from the Residence Office that you vacated your accommodation. The latest you had to vacate your room was 10am the morning of the tenancy end-date stated in the Licence Agreement. If you chose to vacate early you will not be refunded for any additional nights you paid for as the charges until the end of the contract apply. As per regulation 17.5 if a resident terminates their Licence Agreement after 10.00 am on 23 February 2015 (Undergraduate, Language and PGCert length contracts) then, instead of a fee of £350 (£400 for studio flats), the amount charged to their account will be the full rent until the end of the Licence period. The keys should have been returned to your Residences Office. Should the Residence Team find any issues with your room and/or they have not received the keys they will be in contact with you directly and advise if there are any extra charges. Outstanding moneyIf you have any outstanding fines, charges or administration fees on your account you are required to pay them by cash, cheque or credit/debit card to the Cash Office located in the Bannerman Centre or by telephone on +44(0)1895 265264. Any outstanding money should be paid within 7 days of returning your keys and will be subject to late payment fees if left unpaid. Refund of any accommodation creditIf you would like to request a refund of an accommodation related overpayment on your account please complete the online request form. The Accommodation Office will check to see if you are due a refund and will authorise the Finance Office to process this. The Finance Office will process the refund subject to any other money outstanding on your account. This process usually takes up to 3 weeks. If you still have not received the refund after this period then Brunel/LBIC students can contact the Student Centre by telephone on +44(0)1895 268268 or by email at student.centre@brunel.ac.uk to check on progress. Non Brunel students can contact the Income and Credit Control department by email at sledger@brunel.ac.uk. | Please note:These terms apply to all Undergraduate students term time contracts. (They do not apply to Postgraduate or Research students with term time contracts until 10am 6 September 2015.) To ensure that you continue to receive all communications issued by the University, please ensure that you check / amend the Term Time contact details we hold for you via your e-Vision portal ‘My Details’ page.
