Brunel's Halls of Residence are some of the best value you can find in London. All Halls of Residence are located on campus, meaning you are only minutes away from the teaching, sporting and social facilities. Each hall is unique in both character and design, but all provide a warm welcome. We have the following information compiled to assist you with choosing Brunel campus accommodation for your first year of study.

Contract lengths, payment schedules and payment dates for session 2015/16

The weekly rent for a single room (2015/16) on campus ranges from £104.00 per week for a standard room (shared bath/shower room facilities) to £132.50 per week for an en suite room (private bath/shower room facilities).

Undergraduate contracts will start on Sunday 13 September 2015 until 10am Sunday 5 June 2016 (38 weeks). Total cost for the contract period is £3,952 for a standard room and £5,035 for an en suite room. This includes the Christmas and Easter vacation periods.

Postgraduate and Researcher contracts will start on Sunday 13 September 2015 until 10am Sunday 4 September 2016 (51 weeks). Total cost for the contract period is £5,303.95 for a standard room and £6,757.44 for an en suite room. This includes the Christmas and Easter vacation periods.

PGCert contracts will start on Sunday 30 August 2015 until 10am Sunday 19 June 2016 (42 weeks). Total cost for the contract period is £4,364.00 for a standard room and £5,560.00 for an en suite room. This includes Christmas and Easter vacation periods.

What is included in my rent?

All campus accommodation fees include limited personal insurance cover, heating (in accordance with Residences guidelines) and lighting, and are payable over the Christmas and Easter vacations whether you are resident or not. Free internet network access is provided in your room. There is no Council Tax liability for full time students in residence on campus. Your TV licence is not included in your rent so please make sure you have arranged this before your arrival.

Studio flats for co-habiting couples

The Brunel campus also offers accommodation for couples available for those who are in a co-habiting relationship. Only one person in the couple needs to be an enrolled student at Brunel to be able to apply. There are 112 studio flats on campus; the weekly rent for the studio flats for session 2015/16 is £198.25 per week. Apply online for a co-habiting couple studio flat.

The deadline to apply for the studio flats is 31 July 2015; however applications are accepted after this date and added to the waiting list.

Care Leaver and Sports Scholar information

Sports scholars

Sports Scholarships are designed to benefit elite performance athletes by supporting their academic study and sporting needs simultaneously. To assist this support Accommodation Services will offer Sports Scholars athlete-friendly campus accommodation, next to the sports facilities. If you are a full-time studying Sports Scholar please mention this in the comments box provided when submitting your online application form. Further information on Sports Scholarships.

Care Leavers

Brunel University London is committed to providing support to young people in the care of a local authority who aspire to go to university. As part of this commitment, we offer year-round campus accommodation, if required, for the normal duration of your course. Further information for Care Leavers.

Council tax and insurance

There is no Council Tax liability for full time students living on campus. It is advised to take extended insurance for your valuable belongings. Residents who have no separate insurance arrangements of their own and are intending to rely solely on the block insurance are strongly advised to check the cover provided under the policy and in particular, the exclusions.
