Dear
As a returning student next session you will no doubt be aware that Brunel University London provides self-catering accommodation for 4,532 students including 113 studio flats for co-habiting couples. Together with some high priority students (e.g. students with disabilities, Care Leavers, Sports Scholars etc), new fresher students are also prioritised for campus rooms. Depending on fresher demand the University plans to set aside a number of rooms for returning students too. By popular request from the majority of returning students this process begins in December of each year to enable those who may not be successful with their application, to seek alternative off campus options. We therefore are pleased to announce that applications for accommodation for session 2015/16 are now available online for students who are returning to study at Brunel. Demand for returner rooms is always higher than room availability each year and therefore to ensure your application for a campus room can be processed it is important you apply and pay the relevant booking fee by the deadline dates given below.
Please note that paying and applying on time does not guarantee you a room as this is dependent on you meeting the required criteria and room availability. If your application is unsuccessful your booking fee will be automatically returned in full (subject to outstanding accommodation related charges). Unfortunately if you have outstanding money owing to the University, or currently have a Residences Alert or Ban your application will not be processed.
What facilities are available in the Halls of Residence and on campus?
All rooms have WIFI internet access (authorised persons only) via the University network, which is included in your rent. All campus accommodation fees include limited personal effects insurance cover, heating and lighting bills. You will be provided with bedding in your room and have access to a laundrette within each Halls of Residence. Some halls also have lift access.
Along with the benefits that come as part of your accommodation we also offer extra services which range from additional cleaning services, cleaning packs and kitchen packs. If you would much rather prefer to maintain your own cleaning here are some helpful tips and advice of what cleaning is provided by the maintenance team.
For further information about what facilities are provided in each halls of residence please visit our facilities guide. To take a sneak peak of the rooms and facilities offered in the halls of residence why not have a look at our virtual tour.
As well as the facilities within your Halls of Residence the campus also has a lot to offer. All the essentials are on campus including a bank, medical centre, pharmacy, shop, gym and off-campus Housing Office. There is a regular market including fruit and veg stalls and catering outlets such as Subway and Proud to Serve Costa. You will also have the opportunity to join some of the Brunel's clubs and society's through the Student Union. We know how important it is for students to feel safe when living away from home and Brunel University London prides itself on having a safe and secure campus. There is a dedicated 24 hours per day 7 days per week, Security Team located on campus.
