Brunel's Halls of Residence are some of the best value you can find in London. All Halls of Residence are located on campus, meaning you are only minutes away from the teaching, sporting and social facilities. Each hall is unique in both character and design, but all provide a warm welcome.
Students attending the Science without Borders (SwB) programme will be housed in campus accommodation during their study at Brunel University London. The cost of your stay in standard room (shared kitchen and bath/shower room facilities) accommodation during this period will be included in your University fees.
Students arriving in September 2015
Students arriving in September 2015 will be allocated in standard room accommodation within Clifton Hall (photos of Clifton Hall).
Contracts will start on Wednesday 9 September 2015 and end at 10am on Saturday 3 September 2016. These dates are fixed (if you wish to arrive a few days after the contract has started, your contract will still start and end on these dates).
If you wish to arrive early please contact Accommodation Services by email and we will try to assist you where possible. If you are able to arrive early you will be responsible for paying the extra nights rent as this is not included in your agreed fees.
What do I need to do?
- Complete your room application for session 2015/6 online by 30 June 2015
- If applicable, pay the en suite top up fee of £1,465.70 or studio flat top up fee of £4,847.20 to Accommodation Services by 30 June 2015. An en suite room or studio flat cannot be allocated to you until the top up payment is received. En suite room offers are subject to availability so it is advisable to submit your application as soon as possible
- Please note that you are not required to pay the £350 (£450 for studio flats) accommodation booking fee in advance of your arrival to secure your room booking
Who will I live with?
Where possible, SwB students will be placed together within their requested type of room (i.e. standard or en suite). Some students may also share flats with other students who are not attending the SwB programme. If you have specific friends attending the SwB programme who you would like to share with please let us know by emailing us and if possible please include your friend's student ID number/s.
| Upgrading to an en suite room
Students who are interested in upgrading to a campus en suite room (private bath/shower facilities) will have the option to apply. If you wish to apply for this option for your main course of study (September to September) you will be required to pay a top up fee of £1,465.70.
Students who decide to apply for an upgrade to en suite rooms will be accommodated in the Bishop Complex (photos of the Bishop Complex).
Studio flats for co-habiting couples
The Brunel campus also offers accommodation for couples available for those who are in a co-habiting relationship. Only one person in the couple needs to be an enrolled student at Brunel to be able to apply. There are 112 studio flats on campus. If you would like to take up this option you would be required to pay a top up fee of £4,847.20. The studio flats are located within the Isambard Complex (photos of the Studio Flats).
