Dear 1st November How do I request a Student Status Letter? If you require a Student Status Letter to confirm that you are a student at Brunel University London please log into eVision Portal and request it online. How does the room exchange process work?We hope that you are happy in your room but if you would like to change rooms you will be required to complete a room exchange request. As we are currently running a waiting list for student’s living off campus, please be aware that student’s without campus accommodation will be prioritised for any vacant rooms available however we may be able to offer room exchanges with other student’s, subject to availability. The Accommodation Services will contact you if we find a student with matching preferences and you will be able to meet at the Accommodation Office and view each other’s rooms. If both students are happy, each will be required to pay a £35 administration fee and sign a new contract. In addition, a top up fee will be required for any student moving to a more expensive room. Students will then have till 10am the next working day to complete their room move. What happens if I have not paid my first instalment yet?If you have not yet made your rent payment for the first instalment you may be charged a late payment fee of £50. A further charge of £50 will be incurred for every subsequent payment date on which an instalment remains unpaid. Further details can be found in the Residence Rules and Regulations. If you are unsure of the amount you owe the university you can find this information and future instalment information on your Licence Agreement which you can view online. If you are waiting for a student loan or receiving a Brunel bursary please read “My student loan hasn’t come in yet. Can I get an extension?” or “Can I pay my rent instalments monthly if I am receiving a Brunel bursary?”. How do I change my contact details? To update your contact details with the Accommodation Services please complete the Amendment Form online. Please note should you also wish to update them on the University system please contact the Student Centre or visit your e-vision account online. What if I want to move out early? If you need information on the conditions about early departure, before you would return the keys to your residences manager, please read section 17 of Campus Residence Regulations 2015/16 and Vacating your Accommodation Process 2015/16 leaflet. |
