What do you find the most challenging thing in your job? - When starting a new job it can be challenging as you have to learn everything from scratch. But what I found most challenging is to learn all the rules and regulations about Accommodation and if I would be able to pick all the information up quickly (but the way I worked through this is by highlighting the rules and regulations handbook and by writing notes to memorise the information).
What is your favourite part about working at Brunel? - My favourite part about working at Brunel is that I get to interact with students and help solve any queries they may have. Either face to face, by telephone and in writing. Brunel is a very professional place to work for and you can really see that Brunel thrive to support and encourage students with their studies to give them the best university experience as they possibly can.
If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring? - If I was stuck on an island the three things I would like to bring with me is my cat (so he can keep me company –not saying I wouldn’t take the husband – let’s hope he saves me from the island) water and food (I don’t want to die of starvation or thirst).
What book did you read last? - The last book I read was The Lunar Chronicles Cinders. The Lunar Chronicles consist of four books in the collections and it also includes additional bonus books. The books are futuristic retellings of classic fairy tales. The story is set in Beijing and the main character in this book is Cinder, Cinder is a cyborg, half human and half machine. Cinder starts a rebellion against the evil Queen Levana and how she feels for the handsome prince. I would definitely recommend this book if you enjoy readying Fantasy Genre. I am currently readying book 2 (Scarlet).
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? A roast dinner – with all the trimmings.
What is your favourite hall of residence and why?- My favourite type of residence is the Isambard Complex the reason for this is because each hall consist of en suite and studio accommodations. Studio accommodations is my favourite type of room, as they are much bigger than a standard and en suite room and I find these types of accommodation more private and you don’t need to share any of the facilities with anyone else.
