Accommodation Services Advisor

What’s your role and how long have you worked in Accommodation Services? My role is an Accommodation Services Advisor, I am the office newbie and have worked in Accommodation Services for 2 months!
What do you find the most challenging thing in your job? As a new member of the team I am still learning a lot of new information each day! It can be challenging at times to digest and remember new regulations and procedures but the challenging parts of the job are what I enjoy and what motivates me most!
What is your favourite part about working at Brunel? My favourite part about working in Brunel is definitely the people! Having only started at Brunel recently I have really enjoyed getting to know my team, going on social outings and laughs in the office! There is a great team spirit within Accommodation Services, everyone is positive and ready to go above and beyond to help all staff and students.
If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring? Being a keen viewer of The Island with Bear Grylls, the survival side of me would bring a fishing net, machete and matches. But I would much rather have my dog, a portable cocktail bar and my phone (with unlimited battery life, someone please invent that!).
What book did you read last? The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. Now I peak into every house I pass along the railway lines, my train journeys have not been the same since!
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Mac and Cheese but jazzed up with bits of bacon! I don’t think I could ever get fed up with this meal, it’s a classic.
What is your favourite hall of residence and why? My favourite hall would be Lancaster Complex with its great room, kitchen sizes and excellent location it is a great place to live as a Fresher. Taking me back to my days as a student I would have loved having a Subway, Costcutter and Coffee Shop just a few minutes away! Even closer is The Lancaster Hotel where you can enjoy a hot breakfast after an all-nighter in the Library and even a celebratory drink (or drinks!) after exams. The Lancaster Complex offers everything you need and more during your first year of student life!
