Accommodation Allocations Manager

What’s your role and how long have you worked in Accommodation Services? My role in the Accommodation Services Team is Allocations Manager. I have worked at Brunel for 14 years in various roles within Accommodation, Residences and Housing.
What do you find the most challenging thing in your job? Trying to make all of our customers as happy as possible! We pride ourselves in treating each student as an individual even though we are processing 4500 applications each session. We always go out of our way to provide all our customers with an A* service.
What is your favourite part about working at Brunel? The variety that the role brings. Having a new set of students joining us each year keeps us on our toes. We like to stay ahead of the game in meeting student’s needs – recently we have introduced our online chat facility which has have received great feedback and the Accommodation Team seem to enjoy using it as much as the students.
If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring? Hmmmm, this is a difficult one… my daughter, my dog and plenty of food!!!
What book did you read last? Stick Man - I read it every night to my daughter.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? There is absolutely only one answer to this question for me…roast dinner with all the trimmings.
What is your favourite hall of residence and why? One of my favourites is the Lancaster Complex – centrally located on campus you can almost roll out of your bed into the Lecture Centre.
