Accommodation Finance Officer

What’s your role and how long have you worked in Accommodation Services? Finance Officer and I have worked in Accommodation Services for three years
What do you find the most challenging thing in your job? The most challenging time is definitely the weekend when students with undergraduate length contracts vacate their accommodation. With so many students vacating their rooms during this weekend and the two or three weeks leading up to it, this time is extremely busy.
What is your favourite part about working at Brunel? I would have to say the people. I think that we, in Accommodation Services, work very well together as a team and this has created a good vibe in the office. I also like the fact that there is generally a good rapport between the different departments and people are always very helpful when you have a query.
If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring? IPod, a set of good headphones and some moisturiser.
What book did you read last? I am ashamed to say that I really can’t remember, but it was probably a Stephen King when I was last on a beach holiday.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? My late Mum’s Sunday Roast followed by my Grandmothers Rice Pudding – lovely!
What is your favourite hall of residence and why? The Bishop Complex as it’s the nearest to Starbucks…. It’s also in the best location if you want to be near the Indoor Athletics Track and the Sports Centre.
